Me with everyone’s favorite elephant! Big AL!

So…..WYD this weekend?

Well in case you needed some ideas for Things to Do in Tusk-A-Loosa (i.e. the Black Warrior, Tuscaloosa, T-Town, Tide Country, the Druid City, etc.), never fear I have listed out a few great ideas to help you get started! For Day 20 of #bloglikecrazy I am sharing some of my favorite places and events around Tusk-A-Loosa this weekend that can help you shed that Thanksgiving Turkey-itis, feel revitalized, kick-off your holiday gift giving, get creative and crafty, have a down home screaming game day good time, and share a life-giving movie watching experience with family or a friend!

Check out the list below, I am sure there will be something for everyone to get involved in this weekend:

Alabama Crimson Tide Everything: Self-explanatory!

Friday: 23 Nov 2018

Crimson Tide Women’s Basketball vs Grambling State @ 2pm CST

Crimson Tide Volleyball vs Arkansas @ 7pm CST

Saturday 24 Nov 2018 @ 2:30 pm CST

Iron Bowl Football Saturday: The Alabama Crimson Tide beats Auburn….oh did I write that out loud! Yes I did! #RTR!

Children’s Hands on Museum: Show Your Spirit at CHOM! Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 9 am – 4:30 pm you can Design a Spirit Shaker! Make a Mascot Mask! Play Tailgate Games! and/or Wear your Team Colors! All activities included in Admission

Church of the Highlands At The Movies Series: Where Church and Movies Meet! A great experience to be had by the whole family. Enjoy complimentary popcorn and a beverage of choice (cokes, water, or yes even coffee) while watching some of Hollywood’s biggest hits that have been edited to unpack spiritual truths for our lives. Also as part of a special movie going experience for the kids, Tuscaloosa campus students of Highlands College Evening Program will be dressing up for the occasion as some of everyone’s favorite action figures and children’s movie characters. Stop by this Sunday, 25 Nov 2018 for any of our evening services and see if you can spot yours truly in character! HINT: Look for a Disney Princess!

HydralIVe: your local Hydration Lounge! Yes, I said Hydration Lounge! You can catch yours truly in place on Saturday caring for routine clients, visitors, night lifers, and exhausted shoppers, helping them gain relief from muscle aches, hangovers, and general fatigue from all of their weekend shenanigans. HydralIVe is a premiere standalone IV hydration therapy clinic with locations in Alabama and Georgia. This health and wellness spa offers IV vitamin therapy, medical weight loss treatments, massage therapy and cryotherapy overseen by board certified physicians with all treatments administered by State Board licensed Registered Nurses like ME!

Tuscaloosa Amphitheater: The 7th annual Holidays on the River will be happening at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. The fun commences Nov. 21, 2018 so this weekend will be the perfect time to check out the available attractions, which will include ice skating, carriage rides, visits from Santa, and the new Very Merry Market!

Riverwalk Farmers Market: Each week, vendors sell locally-produced goods ranging from in-season fruits and vegetables, meats, breads, cakes and cookies to arts and crafts. The Farmers Market at the Tuscaloosa River Market is a public service of the City of Tuscaloosa and is free and open to the public from 7am to noon!

While this is not an all inclusive list of everything happenin’ around town for the post Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, it’s a great starting point for planning your weekend transit around town. Plus I am rather biased on several of the places on the list, because they are also some of my favorite places to visit around town as well. Can you guess which one’s?

And don’t forget, aside from the usual Black Friday Door Busters, there’s also Small Business Saturday. So don’t forget to Shop Local Tusk-A-Loosa!

Until next time…

Write from the Heart,

{Just Being} Candice Maria
